Stormy Day

It was an overall ugly day yesterday. The sun only peaked through a few times and the high for the day was only 55. There was off-and-on rain and we had a heavy rainfall in the late afternoon. The storm produced some nice rainbows along with about .25" of rain. Below are a couple shots of the rainbow - actually, a "double" rainbow - that appeared near the end of this big afternoon storm:

We have been getting our share of rain the last couple weeks but not nearly as much as California where all of our rain is coming from. We also need the rain but California needs it more than we do.

The main accomplishment yesterday was getting all the Christmas gifts in the mail. The major part of our shopping is done, with the exception of a couple small items for our stockings.

Today is the only day between now and Christmas that we both have off from work. We aren't sure yet how we will spend the day, but it is nice to have a choice. Whatever we do, it looks like it will be done with more clouds and possible rain on another cool day...
