Looking at New Homes

Our only day off together until Christmas was one where we were out and about and enjoyed a visit to some new home models in the area. There were a few last minute gift cards that we had to mail and since we were going to visit our storage unit, the post office in Surprise was convenient. We gassed up the Jeep at the Sam's Club in Surprise and then made our trip to storage. We were looking for a particular item that we thought was taken to the storage unit, but it wasn't there. It is a mystery now where that item got to, but it will turn up. Anyway, we had a late breakfast - early lunch? - at The Village Inn in Surprise following our stop at the post office.

There are several new housing developments in Peoria that are in a nice area along the Happy Valley Road not far from George and Cheryl's house that we wanted to visit. We liked one particular model in a Pulte development that has us seriously considering. The only problem, and one that we are struggling with, is the fact that we need to sell the truck and trailer in order to make any home purchase work for us. Also, would we be ready to change our lifestyle without working out details. This is a terrific time to buy as it is month-end and year-end for Builders and they are dealing. The interest rates are still attractive and this particular home would make both of our commutes a lot easier for our jobs - if we decide to keep our jobs on long term basis. Decisions, decisions.

It's back to work for Josie today and I also am scheduled for a 5 1/2 hour day from 8:30 AM until 2 PM. It's hard to say how long Josie's day will be as we are getting closer to Christmas and the big rush for last minute arrangements is about to begin...
