First Real Rain

We have not had any measurable rain here since we arrived in October - before yesterday. Since yesterday afternoon through this morning, we have received over .3 inches and it is still coming down. We need the rain and it is fine, as long as it doesn't turn into the type that CA is getting where flooding and mudslides are the result. The forecast is for more this morning and gradual clearing late today.

We had a call last night from Cheryl informing us that George's surgery went well. It lasted 2.5 hours and he was resting comfortably last night. He is expected to be up and about today and possibly being released tomorrow. We were happy to hear that news and that perhaps his pain will be gone and he can begin to live a near normal life again.

I get to try the interview process again at Sam's Club this morning. My appointment is for 9:30 and maybe we will get it done this time.

There are five potential bowls for Austin and his WMU team this year. They are definitely eligible and they should find out at their banquet this Sunday. The five locations are: Boise ID, Montgomery AL, Boca Raton FL, Nassau Bahamas or Mobile AL. The odds on favorite is Boca Raton since 17 of the players were recruited from FL. Wherever they go, we will be watching with pride. There is no possibility of our attending since the games, with the exception of the last location, will be held just before Christmas and Josie will not be able to take any time off during that week. All of those games will be televised on ESPN.

We are down to 21 days before Christmas, so it's getting to the time when we all need to get our shopping done...
