Three French Hens

In the song The Twelve Days of Christmas, on the 3rd day "my true love gave to me three French Hens". Bring on the French Hens as we have only 3 days to go at work. We celebrated with our final dinner with our group of friends at Garcias Mexican Restaurant last night. I took 2 pictures and didn't like either one as somebody was moving in each of the shots to make it difficult to see. At any rate, there were Sue & Rodger, Scott & Valerie, Jeff & Marsha and 3 other women that work with Sue and Rodger. It was a fun time and will be the last time we are all together before we break up and begin leaving early next week. We will get together with Sue and Rodger this evening for a final "toast" to the season and say our final farewells. We also want to discuss our new job at Holiday Retirement with them as they would make a great team as co-managers at one of the Communities.

Before going out to dinner last night we finalized our reservation at Happy Trails in Surprise, AZ for the month of January. We were lucky to get a space so late and we only found one as a result of a cancellation. That place is always filled to capacity in the months of January - March. Of course, 2 of the weeks we will be staying there our rig will be sitting empty while we are at training. That completes the plan for travel, at least up to the end of January when we leave for Vista with our remaining goods from storage. The excitement is building.

The weather has been much cooler - actually, cold - the last couple days. It went down to 30 degrees last night and after receiving over .5" of rain, we had a few snow flurries mixed in. The long term forecast is for it to warm up  again, just in time for our departure on Tuesday...
