Officially, Monday is Last Work Day

The official notification of end dates for all shifts was released yesterday. As expected, our final day of work at Amazon will be Monday the 19th. That leaves today, our final off day for this week, and then 4 more work days. There are some activities planned between now and the release date, such as t-shirt day - all workampers get t-shirts commemorating the Peak Season this year, as we all did last year, release parties for each day next week as each shift winds down, and a meeting to complete final paperwork and turn in badges, vests, etc. We will be ready to leave on Tuesday, the 20th. Yeah!!

Our plan now is to go to a State Park in TN (near Nashville) on Tuesday which makes for a fairly short travel day. We don't expect to leave real early on Tuesday, so it will be a relatively short travel day. We will plan the rest of the travel days up to Christmas sometime today so that we know for sure where we will be on Christmas day. Right now, it looks like New Orleans.

Yesterday was our final trip to Louisville where we went to Costco, Kohls and a Verizon store. We had activated Josie's phone ourselves as we entered the Louisville area where Verizon is very strong, but we had to also pick up a couple accessories like cases and chargers. Our Christmas shopping is still not done, but we can do the rest from here.

Today, we have a conference call scheduled between 9 - 10 AM with the Relocation Manager at Holiday Retirement to discuss the details of our move from here to Vista, CA. As the last free day before the end of our time here in Campbellsville, it should be a very busy day of preparations...
