Today is the last work day for the next to last week. Sounds good. With 3 days off starting tomorrow, we only have the last 4 days to work beginning Friday. We still haven't heard "officially" about next Monday being our final day, but it doesn't make sense to keep us over for our 3 days off next week to work just 1 day.
Work was very busy yesterday, but it still isn't as hectic as it was last year at this time. As mentioned before, it just isn't the same as last year when everybody was being switched around to help with outbound duties to get the product out the door. It may just be a result of all the extra people working this year. We keep hearing about the increase in business all over the country this year vs last, but it is not evident to us.
Much of our details for the new job will be worked out on our days off. That, along with travel plans for the next couple weeks will be solidified. We have gotten used to limiting our daily travel to around 200 miles, so we don't want to get into a mode of having to rush to someplace. Three weeks should be plenty of time to get from here to either AZ or CA. Our guess is that we will travel to training class from AZ and then go to CA following the 2 weeks of training.
We had a low of 20 degrees yesterday and it is now 29 outside which is a good sign. The forecast is for rain sometime later this week so that means warmer temperatures. We'll take the rain over snow any day...
