Yes, we are focused on the light at the end of the tunnel. It is growing larger every day. We closed out our 24th week of work at Amazon yesterday. Hallelujah!! There are now only 2 weeks to go.
It's raining - still - and when the rain stops sometime today it will get cold again. It's almost time to be making firm plans for our departure once we get confirmation of our official last day of work. We believe it will be Monday, December 19. If that's true, we will probably leave here on Wednesday, the 21st. We have tentatively planned to change our destination from Memphis, TN to Florida. After hearing several horror stories about Memphis and the high crime rate, we decided to pass on that side trip at this time. Besides, it is likely to be nicer weather in Florida at the end of December.
The other significant news is that our discussions with the folks about our other opportunity are moving ahead at full steam. We are scheduled to meet with the Regional Directors and Managers on Thursday morning - in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. We will fly out from Louisville tomorrow afternoon at 2:55 PM, and return home on Thursday night at 9 PM in Louisville. All of the details will be revealed in the blog sometime between tomorrow and Friday AM. Our 3 day break from work will be filled mostly with activity from the trip. If the trip is a successful one, it will mean major changes in our short term plans. Hang on for the ride...
