We can't say we're sorry to see September end. Aside from getting us a month closer to ending our commitment, it was a wet and windy month. The month ended with 6.50" of rain over 19 days. That's a lot of rain days for a place that isn't in the Pacific Northwest. Of course, we had a hurricane and a tropical storm contribute to that total, so it probably isn't a normal month. It is like a switch was thrown though, as today - the first day of October - is very cool (47 degrees) and it looks like the hot days of summer are officially gone. We actually turned the heater on this morning for the first time.
The big news on the football front from Naperville is that Austin and his team had another stellar game. They won their game 55-7 and Austin ran for 197 yards on 16 carries and had 4 touchdowns. What an exciting year! He is running up some awesome stats for the year. We wish we could be there every week to watch him play.
Tonight after work we go to the State Park to have a BBQ dinner with some friends. It will be nice to see the park again as that's where we stayed last year while working here. We aren't sorry we are here though. The 50 amp service and full hookups make a huge difference here, not to mention the extra convenience of being close to town and directly across the street from work. Speaking of work, it's time to get ready...
