This is way too early to be in the 30's. Yesterday's low was 39 and today will be close to that since it is 43 right now, and the low doesn't seem to occur until after we leave for work around 6 AM. We ordered a small space heater from Amazon - Lasko 7542 - to help with keeping down the propane costs. Since electric is free, it makes sense to use it as much as possible. Last year, we were filling our propane tank about once a week. This year we hope to stretch those refills to at least every couple weeks. Propane costs have risen along with the regular fuel prices and the small space heater will more than pay for itself in a couple weeks use. Watch now, it will go back up to 85 next week. We hope so, but we'll be ready for the cold weather in Nov - Dec.
We had a surprise message yesterday when we got home from work. About a week ago, we had inquired about a workamping opportunity at a place in Southern CA - Malibu Beach RV Resort. The message was from them asking us to contact them about coming to work there. Our plans right now for the winter months - at least beyond Jan - are still up in the air. Our commitment here precludes any job starting before the first of the year. The folks at Malibu Beach probably need to fill the openings before Jan, but it is nice to think about going there for a few months. Who knows, it still could happen. We'll talk to them today as soon as we get home.
The overtime day that we scheduled for tomorrow is looming very large right now. We're both tired and ready for more time off. For sure, next week will be a 3 day break with no overtime. It is important to pace ourselves with this overtime and not get caught up in the extra money. Our health is obviously more important. Besides, there will be plenty of overtime once the peak season begins in early November. That's about it for now...
