Complete Slowdown

You've seen the ads on TV over the years for Maytag products that have made the phrase " busy as a Maytag repairman" famous. That's us. Except for about an hour last night, we sat and did practically nothing the whole night. Here are a couple shots that we took of each other during our busy night at the front desk:

Now that the last, big event - the Youth Soccer Tournament - is done, it has become super boring at work. Today would normally be our official last working day and end of the season. As we agreed to stay over a week to help out, we will work four more days.

The rain continued yesterday and we have had over 1.75" since it started early in the weekend. There is one more day (today) until clearing weather takes over and it begins to warm up a little. Just so the weather cooperates on the 6th and 7th of October when we pack up and leave.

Between now and then, it will be a challenge to make the time at the front desk go fast. Josie is considering taking her crochet project, and I will look through some of the back reading material I have to take along to work. All we need to concentrate on now is preparing everything for our trip south...
