I wanted to make sure that the truck tires were properly inflated and not leaking before we prepare for our drive south in early October. There is a huge tire shop in Victor, ID that we pass when we travel to Idaho Falls, and we stopped there to talk to them on our last trip home from Idaho Falls last week. They seemed like they knew what they were doing so we took the truck over there yesterday morning for an inspection. They took us right away and we had everything checked out and the tire pressures were very close to where they should be. The nitrogen fill in the tires has done the job as there was no loss of air on all but a couple of the tires. The real good news is that the tires are wearing evenly and we have enough tread to get us to AZ and perhaps longer. With almost 44K miles on the truck, we are getting excellent wear on all the tires. All we need to have done now on the truck is to have an oil change performed. I will get that done sometime in September.
We are trying to figure out where excessive data usage is coming from on our Verizon plan. The last couple months we have gone over the plan allowance and it has cost us extra money. We have eliminated all of the games we had on our phones and try to use the local wi-fi - as bad as it is - as much as possible to conserve our data usage. It still looks like we are using too much, so I guess another trip to the Verizon store is in order to get an explanation. This whole Verizon setup seems like a scam to us.
Our plan was to take an early trip this morning to a couple of the good spots where wildlife has been seen recently. The problem is that this is the only day this week that Josie has to sleep-in, so we will probably hold off on that excursion. She will work the AM shift tomorrow as overtime at 7 AM, so we'll schedule something else today...
