Signs of Winter

Our morning yesterday was filled with catching up on some chores. First, we mowed the grass and hopefully it was for the last time. While the sun was shining, we threw in a wash of the Jeep which hasn't been done for some time. Since the weather forecast is for sunshine for the next six days, it was a good bet to get it washed and to stay cleaned for at least a week.

The forecast is for sunshine, but we are getting our first cold blast of the Fall season. It is expected to drop into the 20's at night for the next couple nights and only reach into the mid 60's during the day. The cold blast is bringing some snow to northern Montana but will remain north of us. It appears to be a short term effect though, as I see that the temperatures are forecast to return to the 70's by the weekend.

Today is our Saturday and we don't have a specific plan for the day. I mentioned previously that Josie has only this one day per week to fully enjoy for each of the remaining weeks so we are trying to plan something that we wouldn't normally do on a workday morning. It will most likely include a drive to someplace nice. Another option we've kicked around is a bike ride to Jenny Lake or someplace in the Park. It might be a little too cool for that, though, as it is 41 outside right now. Whatever we decide, it is nice to know that the day doesn't include work of any kind...
