While Josie was working yesterday AM, I finalized our schedule for October.
First of all, our final day of work at the Lodge will be October 5. With one full day to do final prep, we will depart on the 7th and head the 274 miles to Heber, UT, where we will spend one night at the Deer Creek State Park. Our second night will be spent at the Solstice Motorcoach Resort in Mesquite, NV which will be a 313 mile journey almost entirely on I-15 through Utah. Our trip will take us 229 miles on the 9th to Lake Havasu City, AZ, where we will spend two nights at the Havasu Falls RV Resort. Our plan takes us to Lake Pleasant in Peoria, AZ the final 186 miles to our space at Pleasant Harbor RV Resort. It will be a nice trip that provides both a quick trip through some potentially bad winter weather and a brief time in an area where we can enjoy some warm sunshine and access to casinos which we haven't enjoyed in a long time.
Our plans then turn to our scheduled trip to Chicago on the 22nd to visit Patty and her family and to attend Austin's game at Western Michigan against the Ohio Bobcats. Their team looks much better this year and we hope to see a win this time on our visit. Our return from Chicago will be on the 29th of October. Josie will work out a start date at the flower shop that will occur in early November sometime.
That sums up our schedule for the end of our summer season and we just hope we can beat the snow out of Wyoming...
