Our last "official" day of work was yesterday. We are now in the extended stay-over period where we have off today, and start working tomorrow for 4 days before calling it a season. The campground is operating at less than 50% occupancy now, and it looks like this:
There are no campers on our row except for us. Our campsite is looking like a typical Fall scene with all the leaves on the ground:
There are still half the leaves on the tree, so raking them now would be wasted energy. We have to make sure we don't track the leaves into the fifth wheel every time we go out and return.
Our plan for today is to take a drive through one of the local areas where many moose and even a huge bull elk has been spotted in recent days. Maybe we can get some final shots of the wildlife before we leave. It is always a crap shoot to see these animals and it boils down to being in the right place at the right time. With the rain winding down and ending today, we may get lucky...
