Free Day in Naperville

The fact that Patty was scheduled to work yesterday left lots of free time for us. I mistakenly mentioned she would also be working Tuesday (today), but she will be off today and work Thursday and Friday after we leave. Anyway, we had a very relaxing and enjoyable day.

We took another walk around the neighborhood in the morning. This time, we walked in another direction and ended up walking just short of 3 miles. We would need to walk 50 miles  - each day - to lose the weight we have gained over the last week. There were many different shrubs and trees that were still displaying their beautiful Fall colors, and one that we walked past is below:

It is always satisfying to get some exercise, and walking is one of the easiest and most convenient.

I read some of the book that I brought and Josie did some laundry and some other things around the inside of the house. She also found a little time to sit with me on the front porch to enjoy another beautiful day weather-wise. She will be surprised to see this photo that I snapped while we were sitting on the porch:

Our final full day is today and we have some errands scheduled. The girls will stop at the salon to get a manicure and we will pick up our rings at the jeweler's while out and about. It is hard to believe that our week here in Naperville is winding down...
