Convention at Work

Our purpose for staying over this week became clear last night as we handled about 75 reservations for guest check-ins. Throw in the last bus of the season, and we had a second consecutive busy night. We also came very close - within 4 rooms - of selling out for the second night in this early part of the winter season. The reason is for a two day convention that is being held at our lodge by the Wyoming Psychological Association. The lodge is filled with head-shrinks for the next couple days.

Our schedule has us working the first three days of this extended period with Donna which makes the time more enjoyable for us. In fact, we will have breakfast with Donna and her daughter Rachel - also a front desk employee - at The Bunnery, in town on Monday AM to say our farewells for the season. It has been an interesting and, at times, difficult year for us.

It appears that the weather will be super for the rest of our preparations and travel south beginning on Tuesday. There is a zero percent chance of precipitation for seven days beginning today. It will be cool but sunny. More preparations were made yesterday as I packed away our outside folding chairs and the sprinkler and hose we used all summer. I also reorganized some of our basement so we could fit more of our inside stuff that we can pack away. Two more working days and then we will complete the preparations for leaving...
