While sitting around and watching it snow yesterday, we thought we should go out sometime during the day and get caught up on our grocery shopping. The snow never stuck - thank goodness - and the temperatures remained in the high 30's most of the day. In the early afternoon we decided to take the plunge and go out to do some shopping and also have a special treat that we haven't had in a couple months. That treat was another visit to the Philly Steak Restaurant in town. We look forward to eating there and don't go very often since the steaks, though big and super delicious, are high in calories. Anyway, it was a shocker as we pulled up to the place and saw that the sign was down, the place was being torn apart inside and they were totally closed. I guess there weren't enough people in the Campbellsville, KY area that appreciated a good Philly cheese steak sandwich. What a shame.
We ended up trying another Mexican restaurant - Panchos - to see how it compared to the other 2 Mexican restaurants in town. It was not quite as good as Fiesta Mexico or Garcia's. The bill was only $13, so we can't complain.
There is another job opportunity that we have been working on that is gaining steam. We aren't going to reveal too much about it yet as we still have some hurdles to jump and some tasks to complete, but we will say it is a major change for us. We had another interview scheduled for yesterday - a Skype video call - that was delayed until today as a result of the weather impacting the process. We are to have another attempt at that interview today, and if all goes well, we will take the next step which is close to being given an offer. It is an exciting change and we are anxious to wrap it up and tell everybody. Hopefully, we can publish a long blog entry, very soon, describing the change...
