Continued Quiet Time

Yesterday was even more quiet for us than Tuesday. We never went outside the whole day and the weather was nasty. It was windy, wet and cold, and there was no reason to go out. Josie baked some banana bread and I did some computer stuff and we sat around the rest of the day. It's good to have days like that once in awhile.

We received word from Aramark about working one of the stadiums for the Spring Training season in Phoenix. The choices were Tempe Diablo Stadium, Phoenix Municipal Stadium or Surprise Stadium. Of course, the one we would select is in Surprise so we will go forward with completing applications for that stadium and wait to hear about duties, times, pay, etc.

The biggest news and disappointment yesterday was the developing story of the Penn State scandal. What a tragedy, and we haven't heard the worst of it yet. It's a sad ending to a glorious career for Joe Paterno. The news this morning had him being fired along with the University President and the campus rioting overnight. It's shocking, to say the least.

We'll get on with doing some chores today - laundry and cleaning - and try to enjoy our final day off for this week...
