Watching it Rain

Our timing for the trip to Nashville Wednesday was perfect. It rained nearly all day yesterday - .63" worth - and it would have been a miserable and cold day to travel if we went yesterday. There really wasn't much to do except stay home and nurse my cold, which I did. I'm hoping that it doesn't affect my working today as I still need to take medication for congestion and cough. We'll see.

In checking the entry for this day last year I saw that we were still waiting to begin work at Amazon. Those last few days before starting were filled with fun things with our friends from Cody and resulted pretty much in the last time we were able to do things together as a result of different schedules at Amazon. Once the work schedules began, we barely had time to see each other.

There are only 7 weeks to go as we start week # 17 today. As far as we know, there is only one more group expected in to complete the workamping force for this year at Amazom. There will be some changes this week in the use of the entry/exit doors for the workforce. Last year, we used the back entrance - called Break Room C - which has been closed until the busy season begins and the workforce reaches the final total. All of us are presently using the main entrance - Break Room A - as our entry and exit point, and the use of the single room at this point is bursting at the seams with people during lunch breaks. It will be nice when the other room is made available.

That about sums it up for today...
