We have had over 3 inches of rain over the last 2 days and it's probably good that we had to work during that time. Fortunately, the campground drains well, but there are still huge puddles around and the temperatures are dropping. The rain has just about stopped, but has been replaced by snow flurries. In looking at the regional forecasts, it appears that lots of snow is expected all around us, but not here. Right now it is 37 outside.
About 2 hours before ending the day yesterday, I was approached by one of the Amazon Administrators for the workamper program. It seems that many of the workampers are struggling and they have established a new position - Workforce Camper Scout - to try and coach the people who are not performing well to see if their productivity can be improved. I was asked if I would be interested in one of the slots as my supervisor had recommended me for the job. The job carries an increase of $1 per hour in pay, effective immediately, so why not. I'm waiting for an email to inform me of a meeting to take place within the next few days that will further outline the responsibilities.
For anybody watching the World News on NBC last night, there was a short segment on Amazon.com at the warehouse in Phoenix. It looked remarkably like our warehouse and we recognized just about everything in the place, including the hand held scanner that the employee was holding.
With only 2 days off this week, it will be difficult to schedule anything except rest. We do need to activate Josie's phone, so maybe, if we feel like going out and the weather cooperates, we may go to Louisville and try to begin some Christmas shopping. Gosh, only 25 shopping days 'til Christmas...
