Thanksgiving Dinner 2014

We left a little early to drive to Brian and Amy's for Thanksgiving dinner. There was a home that was available for rent just off of Carefree Highway close to their house, so we did a drive-by to check out the possibilities. It was a very nice home, on over 1 acre of property with a nice swimming pool and private backyard. The problems we had though were that it was pretty far off the main road (2 miles), the final block leading to the home was a dirt road and finally, the grounds were not in good shape and we could see that much of the property had been neglected. Anyway, there wasn't a reason to follow up on it with the agent.

We arrived at the Reeds' residence just before 3 PM and enjoyed a nice afternoon of conversation and watching the football game on TV outside on the patio. The dinner was excellent, as always, and there was probably enough food to feed a group twice the size as ours. Here is a good shot of our group:

It was a fun time and as always it was great to see everybody.

We are ready for our Black Friday excursion to Sam's Club to pick up a great deal on Cuisinart cookware. It's hard to believe that we are going to Sam's Club at 6 AM in the morning the day after Thanksgiving. Oh well, We'll get an early start on Christmas...
