Reviving Old Ties

I received a message from an unexpected employer yesterday - Amazon. They called to find out if I could work at the Phoenix - actually, it is located in Goodyear - facility for the peak season. They asked that I just walk into the HR department with some ID and sign up for work. The money is good and, of course, there would be overtime, but the commute really eliminates any chance for that to happen. The warehouse is located at 95th Ave and Camelback. I'm not sure if I would be up for the heavy physical requirements for that job anyway, but it was nice that they still had my number and thought to call.

We also received an email from our friend, Carole Cole, who lives in Happy Trails. She is doing well from her cancer treatments and is still active in activities at the Resort. We will follow up with an email to inform her that we would be contacting her to come for a visit sometime soon. It's good to hear that she is getting along and enjoying her full time life at Happy Trails.

Josie is getting into the flow at work and is enjoying working with the staff at the shop this year. Her days are longer and she is working more days, so the job is working out well for her.

We received an email with 8 listings of homes from the real estate agent in Overgaard. There are some terrific homes that we would like to see, so we will probably coordinate another trip there in the near future. The Overgaard area is close to incorporation which will raise the values of the homes and that has extra appeal for us. There is a lot to evaluate in this situation.

That's about it for today...
