We had a nice morning on Mother's Day yesterday as we communicated with family in both IL and here in WA. We left at 2 PM to visit Kristine and her family for the last time until we return to WA in about a year.
We noticed this little message on a lawn shortly after we left our campground and before we arrived at the freeway entrance:
What a nice, resourceful way to recognize your mother on Mother's Day.
Kristine and her friend Fewsher, planned a nice dinner for us and for Fewsher's mother while we visited and had a good time with the kids. Kristine also gave Josie a very nice hanging basket for Mother's Day. We also had a visit with Tracy who is doing a little better physically but still struggling with her life. We are saddened by the choices she has made in her life.
At the end of the visit, Josie snapped this photo of Kristine with Harmony:
She is a delightful little girl that we will miss.
It was late when we returned home so it was off to bed in short order. Today is the last day for us to prepare for our journey to Jackson, WY. We will leave early tomorrow and stay in Coeur D' Alene, ID, Deer Lodge, MT, Ennis, MT, and two nights at West Yellowstone while we check out the Park for early season changes. We expect to arrive in Jackson on Sunday, the 19th. It has been a wonderful month here in WA with another great visit in the middle at Patty's home in IL. We are almost ready to go, so it's time to start organizing for the trip...
