Austin's Prom Night

It was a short day at school for everybody yesterday. The twins only had a half day and were out by 11 AM. They wanted to stay in town to hang out for a few hours after school so we ok'd that activity. We stopped to pick up Austin's corsage that was being made for his date to the prom. It wasn't perfect by Josie's floral standards, but it was very nice  (picture included below).

The big event for us was to attend the pre-prom picture session being held at the Tamarack Country Club which is only a few miles away. We felt bad that Patty and Mark were not here to take pictures at this fun session that lasted for almost 2 hours before the bus came to take all the couples to the prom. Most of Patty's friends were there and insisted they would share all of their photos with her when she returns from Hawaii. We remained in contact with Patty throughout the evening and sent a file of the photos we took to her to give her some idea how Austin and his date looked and how some of the his other buddies looked. I included several of the 100+ photos that Josie and I took at the gathering:

It sure brought back many memories for us and it reminded us how grown up Austin has become in the last few years.

He came home around 1:30 this morning and will head to a weekend in Michigan with his friends when he gets up and loads his car.

The twins have team pictures this morning followed by a game at noon. It rained most of the day yesterday but we are hoping for some better weather today. We're just happy that the rain stopped long enough for the prom picture session which made our day...
