Football and More

The most exciting thing yesterday morning was watching the Seahawks game against the Cincinnati Bengals at 10 AM. At least it was exciting for three quarters until the Seahawks left the game early in the fourth quarter. I never would have believed that they could lose a 17 point lead in the fourth quarter to any team, but they did, and lost in OT 27-24. I am getting worried now that this team might be in for a long season with the unpredictable offense and the disappearance of one of the league's best defenses.

The afternoon game between the Cardinals and Lions was much better as the Cardinals continue to roll - 42-17 over the Lions - and remain one of the top teams in the league.

We had a relaxed day with Kristine and Justin. We went to the Tanger Outlet Mall between games and didn't spend a lot of time walking around as it started to heat up - we had a high of 99 yesterday. Go away, summer! Here is the shot from the visit to the Mall:

We couldn't wait to get home and jump in the pool to cool off. It was a nice swim in the heat of the day as you see from these shots of Justin:

The day was complete following dinner with a walk around the neighborhood:

Our plan today is to visit the Challenger Space Museum in Peoria. As it is Columbus Day, there may be larger crowds at the museum, but we will take our chances. It is one of those places where you live in the same area and never get to see the attraction. Today is the day...
