Garage Organized

Our goal yesterday was to organize the garage enough for us to be able to get both vehicles parked inside. We have been parking the Ford outside and the heat was going to eventually take a toll on the inside of the car, not to mention damage to the exterior paint.

It was difficult organizing the stuff without any storage capability. We haven't yet decided what kind of storage shelving to get but we knew we needed to do something to improve the situation. The Christmas boxes and other related items were placed against the wall at the front of the garage on one side of the door, and the tools and RV equipment were placed against the wall on the other side of the door. Everything else was placed on the opposite wall of where it was previously located to free up the single space side of the garage. The result was good enough to accomplish our goal and this is the way it will be until we get some garage storage:

There were also some things that we moved to the shed which was assembled on Saturday. We have now opened all boxes that were moved and know for sure that we have some serious downsizing ahead of us. It took most of the day to finish the job and we went through lots and lots of water on this day that reached 110 degrees outside. Unfortunately, we couldn't wait for the cooler weather to arrive to finish up this important task.

It's back to work for Josie today and I have a couple errands to run. The first is to get the Jeep serviced and the second is to try and schedule a time when I can take my hearing aids into the Audiologist office for a cleaning. Other than that, it is another try-to-stay-cool kind of day...
