This year we have both the 3rd and the 4th of July off from work. The weather has turned for the better - 81 yesterday, and 80's forecast for the rest of the week. Work is very busy and most of the hotels/lodges in Jackson are booked solid for the holiday.
Our schedule for today was determined for us yesterday. We need to make a trip to Idaho Falls today to visit the Bank of America branch to deposit two checks that we received at work last night. Somehow, the payroll person at work didn't turn over our time cards from the last two weeks and we only got paid for half the time in our direct deposit to our bank. She had to issue a special check to make up the difference, and, of course, there is no B of A in WY so it means a trip to Idaho Falls - the nearest branch. Actually, we need to visit there anyway, as we both need haircuts and also need to pick up some stuff that is better priced at the Sam's Club that is there. It will be a nice day to travel.
Josie is struggling to hide her black and blue chin. She has tried just about everything in the way of makeup and bandages, and nothing really works to hide the damage from her fall on Tuesday morning. Everything we read online indicates that it will take 10-14 days for it to heal, so I guess the explanations for the bruise will become monotonous over the next couple weeks.
It's nice to have the next two days to relax and enjoy the holiday. We are ready for the big breakfast and parade that will be held tomorrow in town. Jackson has a very nice celebration each year, and it is especially fun to be here for this holiday each year...
