We made a discovery yesterday - or rather, Josie did - that Sunday was not a good day to do laundry at the resort laundromat. It seems that most of the folks that have weekday jobs do laundry on Sunday mornings. We expected that to be a good time since Sunday morning is a time for people to be in church. So, it is one of the discoveries we have yet to make - the best time to do laundry. It is also the peak season here - Jan through Mar - so that also has something to do with the crowd. At any rate, the laundry was done and the rest of the day was just spent relaxing in the nice weather and watching another NFL playoff game. It will be the San Francisco 49ers vs the Seattle Seahawks next weekend for the NFC Championship. It is guaranteed to be a great game.
Our streak of windless days ended late last night when we began rockin' and rollin' again at about 11 PM. It seems to be back to normal again this morning, but we had gusts recorded at 34 mph last night, and 32 mph early this morning. One thing we have learned is to not to go to bed at night before raising our awning. There are too many nights when we had to get up during the night to raise it - thank goodness it operates remotely from inside the rig.
We decided to pass on the workamping opportunity in Banning, CA as it doesn't quite meet the criteria we are looking for at this time. The job sounds close, but there are too many horror stories that the reviews from former KOA workampers reveal, and that scares us. With the nice arrangements we now have between Jackson and Lake Pleasant, we will wait for the "can't refuse" offer.
This week should produce contact with the stadium folks to discuss our Spring Training positions. We're just about there for this fun break from our other activities...
