NFL Playoffs on TV

It was a bit cloudy yesterday but still dry and warm. The AYC (Arizona Yacht Club) Regatta ended yesterday and we took another walk down to the lake to check out the activity. The lake was practically wide open of any boat traffic, so I guess the crowd is packing up and heading out. The trailers that I described yesterday are still sitting in the parking lot behind us, with the exception of one that pulled out yesterday afternoon. I have not seen any activity around any of them since they arrived. It's hard to believe that any company can justify having these huge trailers sitting anywhere, for days at a time, either empty or waiting to be used as transports again.

The main activity for us - actually, for me - was to watch the NFL playoffs on TV. I was not disappointed. The Super Bowl match up will be the Denver Broncos against the Seattle Seahawks. What a game the Seahawks had yesterday afternoon. They trailed the entire game until the fourth quarter when their defense took over and they won 23-17. I kept telling Josie not to worry during the game because the Seahawks would wind up winning at the end. We now go through two weeks of hype before the game to be held on February 2. The only disappointment is that the game will be held in Rutherford, NY, where it can do anything, including snow, for the big event. It is rare that this game will be played in an other-than-warm location. Football's top offense will meet the top defense. It should be a winner.

It's time to get serious again about our weight program. We have been hanging around our starting weight for over two weeks now into the new year, and there are goals we want to achieve before leaving the area in May. The splurges are over, and we plan to get back to our eating habits that produced the nice weight loss in 2013. This year should be the year that we reach our target weights and can concentrate on just continuing the right portion sizes and healthy foods to maintain the weight. So far, the biggest difference from last year is that we don't have the fitness center to help with the program. It's all just part of the challenge...
