Planning a Hike

One of the activities that we enjoy is hiking. We have been to the White Tank Mountains before when we walked the Waterfall Trail many years ago. The plan is to select one of the many trails from the map that wouldn't be too long or too short for us. We like hikes in the 3 - 4 mile range, but almost all of the hikes shown on the map are 1 mile, or more than 5. Some look difficult as far as lots of climbing, and others look like a walk in the park. The idea is to get exercise, so I'm not sure that it matters. Assuming that we can agree on one, we will tackle it today.

We heard from Patty on her visit with Austin and her family to Western Michigan University. She said they were being treated like royalty and were having a grand time. They are with 9 other recruits and they are spending a lot of time with the coaching staff. It looks very good for Austin to receive an offer to come to that University on a football scholarship which is his first choice. We are anxious to hear from them when they return.

It's warming up nicely and it looks like there aren't even any clouds in the forecast for the next 7 days. Temps will be in the high 70's which makes it great for outdoor activities, so here we go...
