Home From Laughlin

We got up early to have breakfast before leaving the hotel except that I could only have liquids - all day. The hotel runs specials and Josie had a great breakfast of eggs and all the fixins (toast, sausage, pancakes, bacon) for $1.99 while I had a glass of apple juice and a refill. We left the hotel with a very good opinion of the hotel and casino in general, and the room and restaurant in particular. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future.

It was still a bit cold and breezy as we left town and headed up the pass toward Kingman. We took a shot of our "finger" rock from this direction to show the difference from Monday's shot:

Now, tell me that doesn't look like a gross rock configuration.

The return trip on US 93 was very pretty and scenic and we made excellent time with only one stop. Well, two stops if you count the stop to get a shot of the town of Nothing, which now really is nothing as the inhabitants have moved out and created a mini ghost town:

It is amazing that anybody lived in that place as long as they did as the nearest town is Wikieup which is about 30 miles north, and that is a small town in itself.

We arrived home at 1 PM AZ time and I picked up our mail and mixed my "brew" for the cleansing process before my Colonoscopy this morning. It was not a lot of fun drinking the mixture and then heading to the john every 10 minutes or so last night until about 9 PM. After having just liquids yesterday, I am ready to get this over with and head to a restaurant for a big breakfast.

Warm weather is on the way and we will see 70's by the weekend. Yeah!!
