New Day, Smaller Crowd

As the song goes - what a difference a day makes. Yesterday was completely opposite of Sunday in terms of the size of crowd checking-out in the AM and checking-in later in the day. We went from 134 check-outs to about 30. It was also our 3rd and last day to work the morning shift from 7 AM to 3 PM this week.

The only thing we did following work was to walk over to the Hong Kong Restaurant in the strip mall next to the Lodge to get Chinese Buffet for a late lunch. It was pretty good - not outstanding - but at $17.95 for the two of us, it was worth the experience. That amounted to about what we would spend at a McDonald's for lunch and we had lots more food.

It is still wacky weather here as it went down to 31 yesterday morning, but warmed up to 69 in the afternoon. We even sat outside for a time in the afternoon following our Chinese lunch. No matter what the temperature is, the beauty in this area is unbeatable. We enjoy looking at the mountains that surround this whole valley.

Two more days this week and then we go on our white water rafting trip. It is 2 months earlier in the year than the time we went in Cody, so we expect a much different ride this time. The rivers are also a little different - the Shoshone River in Cody, versus the wider Snake River here. We'll see...
