Shopping Done

Here is an update on the nice village that Josie bought at Sam's Club and we showed in yesterday's entry. The occupants came home and turned on the lights:

It looks a bit nicer now.

The day was a mixed one on the football field. The Cardinals played a very good game and won 12-7 - without scoring a touchdown - over the Titans. There is little or no chance that they will make the playoffs. The Seahawks, on the other hand, shot themselves in the foot against the Jaguars and lost 30-24. Their playoff hopes remain in the picture. We are getting into the "must win" time of the year when each game could make or break a team's chances for the playoffs.

I have my annual physical exam today and don't anticipate any problems. I don't like getting lectures from the doctor, so we'll see how that goes.

We completed our Christmas shopping yesterday and hope to get everything in the mail this week. I am also going to return Josie's Instant Pot to Amazon as it is too big and too heavy. We will replace it with a smaller model sometime after the Christmas season. The 8 quart model was too much for us and would be a great appliance if we had a large family living at home. The next model down - the 6 quart model - will do just fine. All of the attempts to cook our meals for two people revealed that the model we had was overkill and we have no room in the RV to store it when not in use. It is still a wonderful appliance and one that every family should have.

Other than that, it looks like a normal week ahead for us as we get closer to Christmas...
