Cookies and Football

It amounted to a typical day in December leading up to Christmas. Baking cookies and watching football. The only good part of the day, as it turned out, was that the cookies are delicious. The football stunk - royally. The Cardinals were eliminated from playoff contention with a loss to the Redskins and the Seahawks were blown out by a hungry LA Rams team and are facing a tough finish in order to make the playoffs. It could be a very disappointing season all around for our team favorites.

With less than a week to go before Christmas, we are anxious for the week to pass quickly. Josie will work every day and I will do a lot of organizing to prepare for the new year. We also have the housing issues to deal with and that is pretty much an unknown event - or, events. All of the options we looked at are still on the table, so we are unsure how all of this will turn out.

This is just another chapter playing out in our lives. It has been an exciting trip so far, good and not so good, and we hope to keep adding to the story and produce a happy ending. I must say, there is very little boredom in our lives...
