More on Christmas

We did a drive by on one of the lots that was listed in New River that seemed like a great deal. It was one that was nearby the house I drove by the other day. That still remains an option, but there has to be some criteria for any lot, and that is: power cannot be too far away to bring in, water must be readily available through a shared well or drilling, there can be no construction restrictions and it must be on (or near) a paved road. Oh, and it must be affordable. Sounds reasonable, right?

While out and about, we stopped at Sam's Club to pick up a few items and Josie expanded her collection of Christmas decorations for the RV. This village has found a spot on our entertainment center:

Also, we received a notice a few days ago from our Players Club at the Riverside Resort in Laughlin. It offered two free nights of accommodations, Sundays through Thursdays, from now until December 28. Josie found out that her shop will close on Sunday, December 24 at 1 PM and remain closed through December 26, so we booked a room for two nights - Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - to take advantage of her days off by having a mini-vacation over the holidays. Our first choice for the holidays was to visit Patty and her family in Naperville, but Josie couldn't get enough time off to make it worthwhile. We also considered a mini-vacation to Rocky Point, Mexico, but that was too far to go and too expensive for just a couple nights. We are happy with the "free" room arrangement in one of our favorite locations. We will most likely stay close to home for New Year's, but that can also change if Josie's schedule suddenly changes...
