Tentative Travel Plan

We have a tentative plan for our travel route to Cody in May. We will travel 439 miles on the first day which is now scheduled for Monday, May 9 - the day following Mother's Day. That will place us in Moab, UT. It's too bad that we can't stay there a couple days to enjoy the National Parks, but that will have to be another trip. The second day of travel will be 379 miles and will place us in Rawlins, WY. The third, and final travel day, will be 287 miles and allow us to arrive at our destination in Cody, WY on Wednesday, May 11. That will give us a few days to do paperwork in the office and acclimate ourselves to the area before beginning work on what is now projected as May 15. We still need to identify campgrounds, but that should be a fairly easy task once we review the options that are available at each location. The total trip is just over 1100 miles.

We have to take advantage of the next three days that Josie has off to prepare the RV for the trip. There are still some items that we need to decide whether to take with us or not. Mostly, we need to organize everything so that we will have easy access to the main items we will need for the summer. Most likely, there will be one more trip to our storage unit.

The excitement is building as we review the activities that we did the last time we were in Cody in 2010. I'm sure that things have changed since then, but the main attractions and activities should still be available to us. Whatever we do, we expect the time spent there will be very rewarding...
