Nervous About Jackson

We have been communicating with our friend Donna in Jackson regarding changes at the Virginian Lodge. Most of what has changed has us concerned about returning this year. First of all, our RV space in the campground has been given to a workamping couple at the RV park. The decision to make that change was made by the RV Park managers and not the Lodge management. That has never happened before. There are several occasions where the new Lodge management has buckled under to supporting Lodge employees. Donna has been impacted by these situations and has filled us in on many instances where the inexperienced new management has made blunders that have employees shaking their heads. Combine that with the fact that they are, at this late date, still 5 employees short for front desk coverage. That tells us that we are in for another year of training people that were hired just to have bodies and not to have quality employees.

Based on the events at the Lodge, we are exploring other options. There are some good opportunities in Colorado and in California, but the dates for starting are in conflict with our schedule. Most of those require immediate starts and with Josie committed at the flower shop through Mothers Day, we aren't able to accept them. We'll keep all options open for now as it may be time for a change in our summer schedule...
