Here and There

There were some odds and ends we needed to take care of yesterday. The first objective was to pick up some tickets for Mark and the boys to attend the Waubonsie/Neuqua high school football game last night. That is the huge rivalry between the two best football programs in the area and the one last year that Waubonsie lost in overtime as a result of missing a two point conversion following a touchdown. Once again this year, the game was suppose to be a tossup and both schools had identical records.

We then dropped the boys off at a local golf driving range while we went to Sports Clips where I got a haircut. Then it was off to a couple shoe stores looking for sandals for Josie - no luck there as the summer line is now off the shelves at these stores. Following a trip to the bank to pick up some cash for today's trip to Kalamazoo to watch Austin's game against Buffalo, we headed home for the day.

Happy hour was on time yesterday afternoon and we sat on the porch on another beautiful afternoon. We finally got a shot of Mark:

and Oakley did his usual routine of making Patty get up to get his dinner:

Mark and the boys went to the football game - not a good result as Neuqua defeated Austin's old team by 20 points, 40-19. We had a friend of Patty's visit to watch the game on HighSchoolCube.com on my computer.

Today is the big trip to Kalamazoo to watch Western Michigan play Buffalo. The trip is about a three hour drive and we plan to get there by noon for the tailgate party that is held before each game. The game starts at 3 pm and we are hoping for a WMU win. Our plan is to met Austin for dinner following the game. Mark is struggling with some kind of flu symptoms, so we hope he is up for the long day ahead...
