Almost the entire day yesterday was spent performing errands that needed to be done before our departure for Chicago this morning. Starting with a visit to the AZ DMV to renew Josie's driver's license that expired on September 30. That was an hour, plus another hour for travel there and back. Throw in another hour for a visit to the Home Depot to pick up an inexpensive timer and line to make a drip system for our plants, and a couple hours for laundry, and the day was almost gone.
I have all the tasks completed to allow for a clear conscience while we are gone. The bikes are covered with a tarp and bungees, the new grill is put away - following a great initiation with pork chops last night - and we packed away our chairs and have them at the rear of our rig, out of sight.
We are looking forward to a great trip with lots of fun in Chicago. Patty has some fun activities planned and we will get a chance to see one of Austin's games at Western Michigan. It's off to the airport at almost 5 AM. See you tomorrow from Chicago...
