Looking for Frames

With the County Fair rapidly approaching, it was time to get our entries ready. Mine has been ready since earlier in the year, but we needed to find frames for the pictures that Josie wants to enter. Actually, it isn't the frames as much as the matting that is important for her pictures. We went to the store that would have the best chance for frames and matting at an affordable price - Kmart. We never thought that such an elementary item would be so hard to find in Jackson, but it is. There were lots of choices in frames, but matting is another story. There are no craft shops in Jackson and we didn't see any photo framing stores similar to Michael's in town. By the time we got home, Josie decided that the frames and paper we purchased at Kmart wouldn't do the job, so it was back to Kmart for a refund.

To make a long story short, we didn't find any frames or matting to do the kind of job that Josie wanted, so it was back to the drawing board. She probably won't enter any of her pictures this year. We could have gone to Michael's in Idaho Falls, but we couldn't justify the expense in the truck with the poor gas mileage and it is now too late to make that trip with work starting again today and no time left before entries are due this week.

The weather was questionable yesterday and didn't provide a good opportunity for hiking or biking. It was cool and rather windy most of the day, so we just did some things around the fifth wheel and relaxed for the rest of the day. The clouds are rolling in this morning, so it appears that any outside activity this morning is out of the question. We must be in store for an extended period of perfect weather since the last week or so has been wet and cool. It's our turn now for great weather again...
