Our getaway tasks have begun. Yesterday was the day for going through our closets and taking out clothes that we didn't think we would need for the next segment of our travels. We each filled a large plastic container for storage and we lightened the RV load a bit. Our task today is to sort through the basement and also downsize that load that we have traveled with the last few years. I'm hoping that the downsizing will help with our mileage while traveling with the high fuel costs.
The task of sorting our clothes was almost enjoyable as the clothes we packed away were a size that we no longer needed. Our weight loss has made the task easier and we both are glad that our new eating habits are generating more benefit than just plain feeling better. The hope now is that we can maintain our new eating habits permanently and keep off the weight that we are now losing.
We made a trip to Walmart for some items and also picked up groceries at Fry's. Throw in a haircut that I needed and that completes the afternoon of our first day off this week. As mentioned, we will tackle the basement today and be well on our way to achieving the goal of traveling lighter. One more day and it's back to work again tomorrow...
