Final Taste of Winter

The low pressure area that brought all the rain and cold weather was stubborn and hung around for a good part of yesterday. The low was 42 and our high was only 58 for the day. We ended up with nearly .50 inches of rain and the winds finally calmed down last night. The forecast now is for summer to suddenly appear as the highs within the next week will reach into the 90's. Go figure.

The game yesterday was between the Oakland A's and the Texas Rangers. It was a large crowd that was hungry and thirsty. We remained busy throughout the whole game up until we closed the concession following the 8th inning. We both agree that the weekday crew is more fun fun to work with than the weekend crew. There are too many people on the weekends that think they know everything and cause confusion and mix-ups during the game. We keep reminding ourselves that it is only for a month, so we hang in there. The job itself is not too bad, but like most other jobs, it is easier when the folks you work with are easy to get along with.

Our final day of the work week is today. This next week will be a short one as we have no game scheduled for Thursday which is the only open date the whole month. That gives us three days off which is great for us. We expect to catch up on our load reducing chores and to pay a couple visits to our storage unit during the upcoming week. With some nicer weather today, we expect another large crowd for the game between the LA Angels and the KC Royals...
