No Pitching

For two consecutive games now, the pitching has taken the day off for each game. We had 23 runs scored yesterday and 19 the day before for a total of 42 runs in two games (10-9, 14-9). As a result, the games went almost 3 1/2 hours each, resulting in longer days for us. I would like to know where the pitching got to as both teams were spending way too much time changing pitchers in what seemed like every inning. Maybe it's a conspiracy so that the fans will have more time to buy beer and food. It was difficult going into work at 9:45 yesterday after not getting home until 10:30 the night before. This has been the longest week so far and there are still two games to go, today and tomorrow, before we get a break for our days off.

The final games are next week where we have a night game on Wednesday, followed by normal day games on Thursday and Friday to end the season. In some ways it seemed like a long Spring Training season, and in other ways, the time seemed to go fast. It always goes fast when you look back on time, but never is fast while you are living it. We only have just over a week left before leaving.

There are some things to do regarding boxes remaining in the shed here on the site. I have just a couple more to shred and there are boxes we need to take to storage that contain clothes we won't need for the next 7 months. We will be just about ready to head out once we get that job completed...
