It was another busy game at the stadium yesterday. The game between the Dodgers and Royals brought out a medium size crowd. The official attendance was 5709, but it seemed like 15,709. The people that were there sure were hungry. We did a lot of business. It was another game that was slow and didn't end until after 4 PM. That meant a late departure for us, with an arrival home - for me - at around 5:30 last night.
Josie went to visit her brother following her earlier departure from the game. We had wanted to visit him before, but he hasn't been doing too well and was recently moved to an assisted living facility. He has had several more, smaller strokes within the last few months. He is to the point where he requires constant care and therapy so he was moved there for that purpose. We both will try to visit him again before we leave on the 1st of April.
We received another jolt this morning when we learned that a friend of ours, June Pinkston, has died suddenly. You may remember when she and her husband, Dave, came to Jackson Hole last summer to visit us from Cody. She was much too young to pass away. We don't have any details yet, but saw the announcement from another friend on Facebook this morning. We did see where she was ill the last several months but never thought it was that serious. One never knows when it's time to leave this world of ours.
Our game today is the first of two night games that we have remaining on the schedule. I go into work at 3 PM and Josie follows at 3:30. The game begins at 6:05 PM and will probably mean that I will get home after 9 PM. That's OK except we follow tonight's game with another day game tomorrow. Seven more games and we're done...
