Local Gun Show

The big news for yesterday was the second day of the local gun show that is being held in the convention center at the Lodge. It helped to fill the Lodge to near capacity for the whole weekend. It is more for the locals though than for visitors or guests from out of town since you need a Wyoming ID in order to purchase a firearm. I know that, since after work at 3 PM I went looking for information on a possible replacement for our .25 automatic that we have had since we lived in Issaquah, WA. That little pistol is nice and small, but is only effective at a short range and isn't much better than a .22 that is used for varmints. I don't know about rifles, but I would guess that the same requirement exists in order to purchase one of those. I would like to have acquired a .9 mm, but the combination of the law and the price ($480 for the Smith and Wesson that I liked) eliminated that possibility.

It was  an otherwise normal Saturday for us. We had hamburgers on the grill last night and had a short night before turning in for another early start today.

We are in the busy season for sure at work. The Lodge is filled to capacity nearly every night, and will be, for the rest of the summer. It is a fun place to work and we are thankful that we made the change at the last minute from Vista, CA. We don't think much about anything or anybody from that experience or that area of the country. We still say that the only thing we miss is the relationships with the nice residents there. That's about it for now...
