Another Home Team Loss

The Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Kansas City Royals yesterday, 5-4, in a close game. That makes the home team record 1-5 since we started. It could just be a coincidence, but it now looks like the Royals and Rangers need some pitching help. Things could easily turn around though, as the Spring Training season is meant to sort through young talent to decide who stays and who goes to a minor league assignment at the end. But don't the visiting teams do the same thing? Hmm.

The game yesterday was attended by 9197 fans - easily the largest attendance to date for us. This is a shot taken during the fourth inning which shows the crowd and the beautiful, but hot, weather we had:

Folks that we talked to that were visiting from Kansas City said they just had a snowstorm at home and felt sorry for friends and family left behind. It was near 90 yesterday!

We are off for the next two days and have lots of tasks to accomplish before we work again on Wednesday. Josie has calls to make to find out about Mother's Day schedules and doctor's appointments. I have to work on establishing a workable mail forwarding situation for our insurance and health care coverages. I also have to try to reschedule appointments that were cancelled as a result of our Texas stint. We sure are sorry that we had that interruption in our schedules, but life goes on...
