We had the highest, steady winds, that we have had all year. The morning was actually pretty nice until about 9 AM when the winds picked up and we had steady 20-25 mph wind with gusts exceeding 40 mph. That lasted most of the day and we even had some rain thrown in. The rain wasn't even measurable, but was enough to spot our vehicles. With the dust blowing everywhere, the rain just created a mess on everything. At one point, I went out and brought in some of our pillows and cushions from the furniture. I even lowered the satellite dish as I didn't want to chance a broken dish during this storm. Thankfully, it is all gone and is once again nice outside this morning.
The weather threw a curve into our day's schedule of activities. We did go the store for some groceries in the afternoon, but aside from that, we stuck close to home and did inside stuff most of the day. Josie is pumping out doll hats and scarves with her leftover pieces of yarn and I did some cross stitch while we both watched some of our recorded shows on TV.
Today will involve some cleanup on the vehicles and who knows what else. Stay tuned...
