The decision was made to wait until Friday to install the new awning on our bedroom slide. Josie thought it would be better if we did that activity in the morning when it would be cooler. With temps going into the high 90's today and tomorrow, it is probably a good idea. It was 93 yesterday when she came home from work.
We had an email from our manager in Jackson checking to make sure we are still planning to return this year and to indicate that she could schedule us to begin work on or about May 19th. That is earlier than we have started the last two years, but is probably going to work for us. We had wanted to stop along the way to visit Monument Valley and Arches National Park, but I guess we could consider doing those in early October when we finish in Jackson and begin our trip back to AZ The only consideration for doing it in October is the threat of bad weather - similar to what we ran into on our way south last year when we narrowly missed a snow storm in Utah. We will figure it out in the next day or so. We would leave here on the 13th of May and have to be in Jackson no later than the 18th which is doable. It doesn't leave any time to explore the area and acclimate to the elevation, but I'm sure we could do it if we had to.
Josie has another doctor appointment today to have a bone density test performed. She will leave work a little early, but with her schedule she has to take the appointments when she can get them. I will probably find activities to keep me busy inside while the sun heats up the outside. It isn't getting to the point where we need the A/C all day and all night, but we are running it during the day now. That is a sure sign that summer is not far behind...
