There were several appointments that I targeted while staying here this winter. The start of those was performed yesterday when I made appointments with my family doctor for a physical exam on January 3, an appointment for an eye exam on December 28, and an appointment for the truck service on January 4. I haven't been to my physician in 4 years, so that first appointment with him will be treated as a follow up before we do the physical exam in a second appointment. Josie is going to wait a few more months before scheduling any doctors appointments until she is eligible for Medicare. The only other doctor appointment that needs to be made is with my specialist for another Colonoscopy that is overdue. Those are always fun.
As much as we sympathize with the families in Newtown, CT following the tragic massacre of the 26 people, we are getting a little tired of the constant coverage on all the TV stations. It is depressing enough with all the sad details but to be reminded every minute of every day with the same interviews and same photos is a little too much. More "fresh" reporting from the media would be welcome.
It's the start of another week and Josie had almost a full day yesterday (4 PM). We're sure that as we get closer to Christmas, the hours will pick up so she is enjoying the shorter days for now. She informed them yesterday that she would not be staying over for Mother's Day in May as we will be going to WA to visit our family. That trip is long overdue and we will try to spend several weeks there before heading to Wyoming for the summer. We will plan to visit Patty and her family in Illinois following the summer in Wyoming.
That's about it for now...
