It was a marathon day for shopping and decorating, but yesterday has positioned us to enjoy the rest of the season without worrying about shopping. We hit several stores in our area and also stopped at our storage space to do some last minute swapping of Christmas decorations. There are lots of decorations that we just can't use yet until we get another house someday. It is nice - and a huge relief - to know that everything is now located in one spot. The only thing left to do as far as the decorations go is to consolidate the electrical connections somehow so that we don't have so many cords. That will be a project for today.
Everything is transferred to and working on my new computer with only a couple applications requiring more fine tuning. It is a much better choice, as far as I'm concerned, than going with the Windows 8 system. I really believe that it is a mistake - and that Microsoft will pay a heavy price - for force feeding that new system to everybody. It is only going to work as designed on a touch screen system and laptops aren't, for the most part, touch screen systems. They do have their system (called Surface) which is touch screen and operates with Windows 8 but I don't hear about them flying off the shelves.
Today is the last free day for Josie before starting work at the design center of Phoenix Flower Shops. For that reason, not much will be scheduled today except for some local chores and finishing up on the Christmas cards. We don't know about everybody else, but the Christmas Spirit is beginning to grow around here...
